| ’Monster Suit #5′ Oils Finished sides, needs no frame, ready to hang Here is the quote that inspired the work: “Let everything happen to you, beauty and terror, no feeling is final.” ~Rainer Maria Rilke (1875 - 1926) Now I could go into a rant about why I needed to paint this painting, but I really don’t think I need too. We have all been there, true that. I have had three occasions this past week to want to wear this suit. Instead I painted it. Much more healthy I think for everyone. The difference in the paintings colors for the background are more true in the close ups, it's not the painting, it is as always, the photographer...yup that's me. Forgive my skills and trust the work is fun and vibrant. It's one of my favorites so far. I hope you enjoy the new work, Heather |
